Jake Phipps set up his London based design studio five years ago. His Isis – reportedly the thinnest – folding chair is now being manufactured by Gebruder Thonet of Vienna. Currently a Poltrona Frau subsidiary.

Wow, this is definately one of the coolest foldign chairs I’ve seen so far!
yes! it took me a moment before the penny dropped! I believe this is an elegant and original response to the folding chair. The only problem left to discuss is how it functions when we sit in it. Is it strong and comfortable? How anyone had a go in one?
