Zjedzony: Banana Chair by WamHouse, Peeled and Eaten

Zjedzony (“eaten” in Polish) armchair by WamHouse is a banana-shaped seat in which the “peel” is used as armrests. The chair could look really interesting if put in some minimalistic and “serious” looking surroundings – makes me think of a well lit clean-shaped living room finished in white and grays with little pops of color. Something tells me a Zjedzony placed in a room like that might as well make one miss the “banana point” at first, and not because the chair is not remarkable, for it definitely is, but exactly because the design is not excessive, only subtly humorous and not comical at all.

And if the chair itself wasn’t fun enough, check out this awesome promo image too:

  1. I’m generally not a fan of bulky status lounge chairs – but this is funny, I really like it. I’d like to see a whole fruitbowl in a Yoghurt company HQ, or in reception at Alpen.

  2. Jamie, what a great idea!! Makes me think we at Chair Blog need to start a new category – fruit chairs :))
