Another take on origami inspired chair design – Origami Chair by Ukrainian designer Vasiliy Butenko of Sergey Makhno’s Interior Workshop based in Kiev. Sleek and well crafted, the chairs come in a variety of eye pleasing colors.

The wine-coloured Origamis above are pictured in a small meeting room of one of the office spaces partners Makhno and Butenko worked on together.

Angel Chair by Vadim Kibardin

DESIGN AND DESIGN International Award winner 2011, the Angel Chair by Vadim Kibardin attempts to help you grow some wings. I would’ve gladly put this one in my office as it would be sure to lift my spirits should things at work get extra hectic! Not sure the folks at my job would want me to get distracted and fly away just like that though.

The Angel Chair is produced on order, has a metal carcass, leather upholstery and removable plastic wings that can be washed (in case you need a fresh ‘flying’ start, you know).

Origami Sofa Bed by Andrea Lucatello

Origami Sofa Bed by Andrea Lucatello

Another beautiful creation inspired by origami art, designed by Andrea Lucatello and branded under Italian furnish production company Cattelan Italia. Origami shows off its sleek clean modern in soothing smooth  caramel leather. It looks nice as a sofa, but looks even better as a bed. Check out his other exquisite furnitures, like the Dylan Bed, and the Coral Table. I absolute love his work.

Jyn and Jon Lounge Chair by Pablo Reinoso

Not published about Argentinean designer Pablo Reinoso for a very long long time. Again a designer with much to much flash in his site in my humble opinion. It took me some time to peel this photo from its multiple layer flash file, but I succeeded.

Leather Button Upholstered Porters Chair at Bonhams

Bonhams Sale 17296 – Art & Antiques, 20 Oct 2009, Oxford Estimate: £200 – 300
I like this high back chair (and it’s estimate). This reproduction leather button upholstered porters chair reminds me of the Scheveningen High Back Beach Chair that I would love to be revived. This post starts my adventures into the huge Bonham aucion site.
