I found this luxury walnut wood Flow lounger – although Okajian claims it is Not a Lounger 😉 – at a combination stand of Medcreative.org in Hall 1 of M&O. It has beautiful mother of pearl inlays and stainless steel ornaments and it comes with a wireless charger for your phone or tablet.
Okanjian is a firm established in Lebanon by people who wandered in who originally were from Armenia in 1908. Currently the firm is run by the fourth generation.

About Paul Evans
Born in Pennsylvania in 1931, Paul Evans studied sculpture, metalwork and jewellery design at the School for American Crafters in Rochester, New York, and at Michigan’s Cranbrook Academy of Art. Not an obvious training for furniture making, but after an inspirational visit to renowned furniture maverick Philip Lloyd Powell’s shop in New Hope, Pennsylvania, Evans turned to just that. Initially selling his work through Powell (from 1954), and then collaborating with him, Evans went on, in 1964, to become the chief designer of the prestigious furniture manufacturer “Directional.” Then in 1981 he opened his own showroom in New York, prior to his early [added by ed.] death in 1987.

With measures 45 x 22 x 18 cm it is not exactly a miniature chair, but an interesting model.

This prototype chair was handmade by Richard Schultz with the assistance of Robert DeFuccio. Based on the Leisure Collection of outdoor furniture that Schultz was creating for Knoll at the time, the idea was create a chair for indoor use. This chair features laminated bent legs made in a custom form and an experimental leather sling but ultimately it was never introduced. The present lot is the only surviving prototype from the Leisure Collection.

The Boogaloo Lazy Chair is handmade and the blocked cover consists of patched lighter and darker leather blocks.
