T0 continu my metro station seating series: Recently I’ve visited Madrid. Contrary to Paris where there are several models and several colors, in Madrid I’ve only noticed one model, a stainless steel one. Not so much fit for my Northern European posture…..but at least you can lye down here.

These chairs are made of wood. Otherwise it would have been Emeco Chairs.

Aldo Cibic was born in 1955 in Vicenza, he has been working since 1977 with Ettore Sottsass, as a partner since 1980. Cibic is one of the founding Memphis designers. He now divides his main areas of work between Milan and Vicenza.

Glad I have my own photo of this famous three legged chair, taken in the Copenhagen Design Museum.

In 2010 one sold at Phillips for £6,250.

Two sold for in 2012 for $10,000.
