Kartell & Umberto Veronesi Foundation’s Auction

Some of the last and ‘angelic’ pieces to have been auctioned off at the Kartell & Umberto Veronesi Foundation‘s event.

It’s a known fact that you, our beloved Chair Blog readers, love skull chairs (something we now have a category devoted to), and you also seem to react well to chairs with wings… Does it mean it calls for a separate category too?..

Famous Lavatory Seats

Famous by the women sign toilet seat
famous by the men sign Lavatory Seat
Recently I visited the film museum of Turin in Italy and there the lavatory seats are derivatively famous because of the toilet signs;-)

We’ve Migrated to Amsterdam

VPS Logo

After enduring may outages and database errors we’ve decided to change hosting from a London based Virtual Private server to an Amsterdam based Virtual private server in the hope the site will perform better than it did lately. Also I hope now that this has done, we can go back to publishing a lot about chairs!

In addition I’ve now moved the social thingies to the top of each post. I believe they are important to enhance the chair lovers community, even at a cost of page load time.

If you want to read more about the ramifications, I can point you to the post on our sister blog Happy Hotelier: To VPS or Not to VPS?

Thank you all for all your patience with us.

Also, if you wish to give us feedback about our performance, please do so here, or on our FB page.

Klassiker Lounge Chair by Minwoo Lee

Kassiker is the first lounge chair by South Korea’s own Minwoo Lee and it’s clearly designed for living. Love the warm color and ‘soft’ well-rounded edges, and love the designer’s belief that no other object “has more memories of human body than chairs”.

A slightly complex thought (due to interesting use of English language) from Mr. Lee:

“The more chairs are touched by hands, the more our bodies will remember its structure. Chairs also become perfect architecture and beautiful object with holding memories and history of human bodies. Klassiker chair is the one that chases comfort, durable structure and aesthetic beauty to offer architecture for people.”
