Josef Hoffmann Fledermaus Collection

Specially designed in Vienna in 1907 for the Fledermaus cabaret in Vienna, this suite was later produced by the Kohn bentwood furniture company. The runners and the wooden spheres on the joints are typical Hoffmann style elements.

Etienne Bossut Chair Installation in the Paris Rodin Museum

etienne-bossut-p1030395

Currently he exhibits three installations named Laocoöns as a sequel to the exhibition “Passion at Work, Rodin and Freud, collectors” in the Rodin Museum in Paris.

Thus proving that this chair is stackable:-)

It folds back into Freud’s theories reinterpreted by his pupil Reich to explain libido…and the fact that Rodin sculpted his famous Laocoön group…I must admit the finesses are lost to me, but it gave me an opportunity to share these photos with you.

Bossut created the threesome in 2005 and they are part of the Ginette Moulin and Guillaume Houzé Collection.

I’m Sorry I catched only two of the three installations.

MYchair. Design: UN Studio/Ben van Berkel.

A new slant on things. MYchair is a sculpture in space. Sweeping and expressive. Impressive from all angles. Slanting, rounded and straight areas give way to each other. The base, seat and back of the lounge chair form a powerful composition. The upholstery traces convex and concave shapes. Intense colours create dynamic duets. The lounge chair is appealing and comfortable, and invites you to read, dream and relax. Enjoy the perspective.
