As part of the d3 design talents at the IMM in Cologne, Jennifer Heier demonstrates her Relegs Chair – a chair that can be used in two different positions, either as an ordinary chair or as a recliner. The idea for the design was to create a chair which reflected the idiomatic expression “to go down on bended knees”. Before the user can rest comfortably the chair has to kneel down. Users as masters and furniture as servants?
