Austrian furniture manufacturer Wittmann still makes it, the Kubus or Cube armchair by Josef Hoffmann. It’s one of my favorites. Another omission I’ve never featured it here. The design is from 1910.
Recently there were two Sieben Kugel Chairs or Seven Balls Chairs for sale at Phillips de Pury & Company and each chair fetched $ 37,500.

Note to self: Did I add Phillips de Pury and Company’s site to my list of fame? No … Done now. Reason is an important upcoming auction in NYC of Wiener Werkstatte design, The period that attracted me to chairs in the first place, as many of the designers of that era worked for Thonet as well.
