Imprint is a combination of a wooden stool and a concrete stool fitting under the wooden stool or vice versa, the wooden stool fits perfectly over the concrete stool.

The wooden stool is made of white oak. The choice of material for the second stool was driven by the intention of creating a volume that would contrast with the idea and feel of nothingness. Concrete is quite the opposite of void…

Nevertheless, the above embedded Flickr photo shows an interesting re-interpretation of a Marshmallow Sofa by George Nelson, albeit one of the commenters to the photo mentions Irving Harper of George Nelson Studio as the one who deserves the credit
