Hans Wegner’s 100th Birthday anniversary in the Copenhagen Design Museum with the title “Wegner – Just One Good Chair”, an exhibition till December 12, 2014, where I took this photo.
I can testify this really is a good chair. My dad had one and I sat in it frequently when he was alive.
Found this on Pinterest where they assumed there were more Ouds. No, that’s incorrect Jacobus Johannes Pieter was just the one and only Oud, a Dutch Architect who co founded De Stijl Movement and designed several chairs.
Massimo, age 83, passed away in Manhattan in the morning of May 27, 2014. In remembrance I’ll feature a couple of chair designed by him.
