Vienna, Austria, based design studio Dejane Kabiljo presented the Occupy Chair in Milan last week. Life influences designers and Kabiljo stated:

It bears resemblance to Frank Winubst’s Springtime Chair

Sarajevo’s Empty Chairs

The empty chair is a great way to commemorate a passed person.

Recently Sarajevo placed an amazing 11,541 red chairs throughout the city in remembrance of all the people who got killed in their civil war 20 years ago.

Tedd Lott's Sculptural Practice

Tedd Lott.

When viewing woodworking in the context of objects made with wood; housing, particularly stick frame construction, emerges as possibly the most widespread use of the material throughout the modern world. Utilizing these techniques in a studio based practice, it is my hope to further the conversation on how notions of production fit into the world of contemporary art.
