perch by simon dennehy

simon dennehy is a recent graduate of the national college of art and design, ireland. he sent in some images of his final project 'perch' school furniture designed for primary school children. his project took into consideration the posture of children, chair height and the work surface. he designed the chairs to be flexible, adjustable and encourage movement so children do not sit in one position. the chairs are also stackable.

Steel Stools by Jon Harrison

More from the Royal College of Art Show Two: this time a selection of projects by Jon Harrison, a graduate of the MA Design Products course. His Steel stools (above) were created with the aim of holding an adult’s weight using the thinnest section of steel possible. The material for the seat is taken from the waste of the bottom rail.
