Product and Interior Design Inspiration
This beautiful designed chair by Anna Štěpánková is inspired by a Japanese veneer technique, called Bunaco. The aim for this chair was to combine a traditional technique with modern design. The Tamashii dining chair is completely handmade with wooden material.

The Most obvious place to hang your jacket whilst eating is on the back of your chair. In most circumstances this works fine but a lot of the time the jacket can either fall off, discomfort the person in the chair or can be left creased and flattened. The back of the chair works well as a place to keep your jacket until you sit down. By adding a separate rail at the back of the chair which the user does not come into contact with the problem can be avoided. It can also act as a hanger for other items such as handbags for example.

This is not Photoshopped — it’s an actual photograph of the world’s largest chair, in the piazza of Manzano, Italy. (Manzano is a city of chair makers.)

This chair, called the Sister Chair, was designed for Hank Richardson’s Modernism, Criticism, and Design History class at the Portfolio Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Inspired by De Stijl philosophies of form and unity, I dedicated to my personal relationship with my sisters, who help guide my life and provided me with support.
