Rocking Cha Cha Chair by Helmut Palla

Rocking Cha Cha Chair by Helmut Palla

Helmut Palla

I discovered Vienna, Austria, based Helmut Palla only after he had discovered us via FaceBook. Then he revamped his site (could have done a better job imho). But when I discovered Tristan Cochrane‘s Fish Rocking Chair I also discovered that Saatchi Online also represents Helmut Palla (and are providing me with better photos to share with you than dear Helmut himself).

This Cha Cha Rocking chair is for sale there for $6,500.00.

I hope to visit him once in his studio when Vienna is my travel destination again (usually once or twice a year).

Guilty Cesca Chair

Guilty Cesca Chair

Just found it on cafetschichold via Tumbling [where it disappeared since]. Curious to know who is responsible for this Cesca Parody. Google suggests Mexican artist Edgar Orlaineta…which is in line with Steve Turner Contemporary’s site and with Cosmocopa.

About Edgar Orlaineta

Born in Mexico City in 1972, Edgar Orlaineta received an MFA from Pratt Institute, New York (2004) and a BFA from Escuela Nacional de Pintura y Grabado, Mexico City (1998). He has had solo exhibitions at Steve Turner Contemporary, Los Angeles; Casa Estudio Luis Barragan, Mexico City; Galería de Arte Mexicano, Mexico City and Sara Meltzer Gallery, New York. His work will be included in the upcoming exhibition Factory Direct at the Andy Warhol Museum, Pittsburgh.
