Seesaw Bench by Martin Nicolausson & Tom Eriksson.

An attempt at getting strangers to start a conversation in public spaces. This bench requires cooperation to be functional.

The original bench was designed by Lars Gunnars for the city of Stockholm in the early 90ies.

about: Consisting simply of wood panels and cotton rope (which holds everything together), this is one of the most inventive chairs we’ve ever seen.
The Knit Chair won a Bronze Leaf at the 2005 International Furniture Design Fair in Asahikawa, Japan.
Chair can be made in either FSC-certified beech or white oak. For samples of the woods in which this chair is available, please contact us.
