The full curves and wraparound form define the design of Sly. Sly is available in two versions: with low back or high back, opening like a shell to welcome someone seeking a cozy corner or an oasis of privacy. Both versions are characterized by two small, “magical windows” – cracks that open to the outside world, but that retain discretion and privacy, closed with colored strings that break the severity of the lines with their lacing.

Sometimes inspiration is in an eye blink. While inspecting my blog and my Pinterest Portfolio which I hadn’t seen for 6 or 7 months, in a corner of my screen I saw a message wherein Italian label Adrenalina reaches out to me. They have as a designer Giovanni Tommaso Garattoni, and Thomas has created the Snobbishness of kitsch chair. I know almost for sure I have featured this chair here on the blog, but when? Where to find it between 5 1/4 K posts? And here it is. Almost 2 years ago.

Ella is a rather eccentric series that includes three sculptural pieces, whose shapes play on the contrast between the geometrical lines of the seat and the rounded shapes of the central element, which get inspiration from nature. Ella Stella and Ella Scultura are two large centerpiece sofas, with a padded seat decorated by an iconic star-shaped or flower-shaped element, which works as a backrest.
A big star or a giant flower become the protagonists of the room that welcomes these roundabout sofas. Finally, the armchair in the series shows a more subdued personality, although it features an unusual backrest that emerges from the seat, and the possibility to hook several chairs in a row with a connecting system.
