Swallow-Tail-Chair

He asked me to feature this beautiful and comfy Swallowtail Chair inspired by mid 20th century Danish masters: Hans Wegner, Finn Juhl, and Sigurd Ressell, plus a little Sam Maloof thrown in.

With pleasure Brian! And thank you for pointing me to Sam Maloof who sadly passed away in 2009.

George II Wallnut Hall Chairs
Although my primary interest is with late 19th and 20th century chairs, I see occasionally older chairs that would go well with a modern interior like these four George II Walnut Hall Chairs. Sold by Christie’s today in a Kensington sale for £4,000 ($6,476) including buyer’s premium.

Dancing Chair by Constance Guisset

One of the 13 project Assistance grants that was presented during the MAISON MEUBLE exhibition at the VIA stand.
The graphic strip structure in wooden laths delimits an ample yet light volume over which fits an upholstered shell. Dancing Chair is a contemporary interpretation of the rocking chair, and part of its interest lies in its excellent workmanship.
