Boy Chair by Nathan Tremblay, Samuel Ho and Ian Campana

Designers: Nathan Tremblay, Samuel Ho, Ian Campana (Palette Industries) Manufacturer: Small scale community production Date: Unknown boy.jpg “The Boy chair was originally conceived and designed for a homeless workforce reintroduction woodworking program. With an immediate shortage of skilled labourers, the purpose of the design and supplementary program was to empower individuals by introducing them to the basics of woodworking and ultimately back into the workforce. By creating an education tool that would inspire confidence, the completion of a chair was something that not only the end user would be proud of but the maker as well.” [palette website] -John Ryan
