Antique Spectator Chair to Watch Table Games

These chairs were commissioned August 4, 1789 for the Turkish room of the castle of Montreuil on the outskirts of Versailles, residence of Madame Elizabeth, sister of King Louis XVI. They allowed to kneel before the table games to follow the games.
