Take 3 Rietveld Zig Zag Chairs, connect them together viz a viz…and voila you have a Mediation Chair.
Peter Sas about the Mediation Chair on Zetel:
The chair is highly functional, and clearly designed with Rietveld’s archetype in mind. The way you in which you sit is also really important. You always sit constrained in a group discussion. The chair, because of its zigzag construction, forces you to always look straight ahead and you can always get up and walk away. That gives the feeling of freedom.” The ideal spot: “Places where conflicts need to be resolved, the court house, or a human resources department. If there are disagreements, those concerned can set down together with an intermediary and try to solve the problem. That will save a lot of money and fuss!”
Today at Venduehuis The Hague.
Estimated Euro 5,500 – 7,000…I doubt it.
Update: Sold for Euro 4,600. Still better than I thought.

“Take 3 Rietveld Zig Zag Chairs, connect them together viz a viz…and voila you have a Mediation Chair”… that looks just like a table! And a slightly uncomfortable one lol A very unusual idea here, I would say, the structure is not easily recognized as a chair!
It is a bench as it is as low as a chair;-)
Hello, please could you email me a high resolution picture of the chair and some background information about who designed it and why. Many thanks.
For what purpose?
