Chair Art – Patricia Piccinini

Chair Art – Patricia Piccinini

Via Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery – Sydney, Australia I found Sydney based artist Patricia Piccinini. She is not a chair artist as such, but uses chairs to drive home her point, as part of her installations.

Kangaroo Chair by Mr Van Der Meer

Art Keukenhof is a lesser known part of the famous Dutch Spring Flower Show Keukenhof. I visited it last Friday and found this Kangaroo Chair sculpture by Mr Van Der Meer. I even offers a comfy seat. I had to wait my turn in a queue before I could take my own photo of it. Details of the sculptor were not available, but the Keukenhof site advises to mail them.

Meet Claudie Bastide – A Chair Sculptor

Meet Claudie Bastide, a French Chair Sculptor. She has nothing with design and doesn’t care whether a chair she sculpted sits well. She uses the chair as a metaphor to tell us something…. and she has been bugging me to feature her for months so she has patience (which is the same word with the same meaning in French as in English).
