Is it just me, or do I see it correctly Versace is going with the flow to go back to home based design like quilting knitting or crochet with this multi colored Bubble Sofa?

There was no fence or gate where I used to live before. Opening the doors, the cottage became one altogether with the yard, streams and nature. That cottage of the time is gone, but good memories from that place create another illusion. The same type of two objects may face each other, stand side by side, or stand alone. By opening and closing the door, space is connected or divided. Even within an extensive space, It is possible to create a cozy space of own.

Philadelphia-based furniture designer Matthias Pliessnig has sent designboom images of his furniture piece ‘Pinch’, a back-to-back seating object for up to two people. White oak strips are steam bent using a technique similar to boat building, after which they are assembled into tight compound curves. This process allows for the organic form, but also ensures structural stability.

Each piece is handmade by pliessnig and measures 147 x 79 x 69 cm (58 x 31 x 27 inches).

Revised: He’s also sent Chairblog his brilliant work too!

Top Posts Chair Blog Half January, 2012

Last year I once suggested to have top posts reported to you every week. That proved a bit too much, but half month posts seem a bit more balanced and might be doable. However, I’m not sure we will be able to maintain this over the year 2012, but we will try. Again this is based on our FeedBurner stats of the last 30 days, so it also covers half of December, 2011.

After we changed hosting in late December there are hardly any issues anymore. We are lucky. In changing server the two top posts disappeared and were put back on Chair Blog. One post even twice! So it seems taking a post away and bringing it back enhances traffic.
