I Found Cuoio at the Walter Knoll booth at IMM Cologne 2011. The second photo of the lounge chair demonstrates that the decorators of a booth should not interfere with a chair. The additions obliterate a clear view on a clear design. The first photo is of the bar stool variant.
Cuoio leather, which gives the chair its name, and black powdered steel form the skin and frame. The cutouts in the seat and back surfaces are not only decorative, but have a form-giving function analogous to tailored clothes.
Gernot Bohmann (left) was born in 1968 in Krieglach/Styria, Harald Gründl (middle) in 1967 in Vienna and Martin Bergmann (right) in 1963 in Lienz/East Tyrol. After their graduation from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, they founded EOOS in 1995.
Kube is an interesting theater seating system by Eoos.
When design from EOOS of Austria, and manufacturing from Walter Knoll of Denmark come together the result is bound to be great looking and well made. The Egon lounge chair and ottoman easily become a recliner for serious relaxing or enjoying your favorite book with the push of a button. In addition to the reclining feature, the headrest adjusts for optimal comfort, and Egon rotates smoothly on center post base. Walter Knoll has a stunning collection of classically designed modern residential and office furniture for discerning consumer.
