Rennie Chair by Kazuhide Takahama for S. Gavina

Rennie Chair by Kazuhide Takahama for Gavina

Found it on VNTG

Dino Gavina founded Studio Simon in 1968, after the sale of his previous activity, Gavina SpA, to Knoll International (the USA branche). Knoll states it bought the leftovers of Gavina SPA after its bankruptcy. I believe S. Gavina stands for Studio Simon.

Sanluca Armchair by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni

Sanluca Armchair by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni

Designed in 1960 for Gavina.

I took this photo September 24, 2011 in the Milan Triennale Design Museum

The three points of support for the body – seat, back, headrest – are separate, built with different degrees of padding and are both struturally separate (designed to be pressed seperately). This object succeeds in being a synthesis of traditional forms and has another special feature once seated, all parts of the body, wherever they rest, are comfortably supported
