Rick Wrigley is widely acknowledged as a premiere furnituremaker and practitioner of marquetry. His furniture design is classic in style, calling upon traditional American proportions and lines, through sometimes incorporating unusual materials and details. In 1998, he fulfilled a commission for the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston of over three hundred new chairs for their concert hall.
