I found the German site Miniatur Stuhl which means Miniature Chair in English. The photo is from Dirk Dowald, a German Collector of Miniature chairs and owner of the blog.
He started with collecting Vitra Miniatures, but added later other brands, moreover he occasionally makes his own miniature. Amazing and a very good blog albeit in the German Language. You can use Google translate to understand it if you cannot reed German.
I’ve added it to Chairblog’s Top Inspiring Chair Design Blogs and Sites.
I came across I Love Tufted Furniture Blog which is a blog that is solely focused on a niche of our niche chairs: Just tufted chairs benches and headboards. Maybe because their niche is so small that there is little movement on the blog nowadays. Their last post dates from February 27, 2012.
I found this interview on Herman Miller’s Blog series Lifework. It’s with Annie Cogan of Chairs and Buildings. Annie is a fellow chair lover. She’s an artist/designer/architect. She lives and works in the same building. First a brownstone in Brooklyn, NY later in a Victorian Mansion in a small town in Mississippi and lately in a commercial building in Charleston and recently she has moved again. There are many similarities here, but I will address them later (maybe).
I found this nice antique Windsor Writing Chair on the blog The Antique Chair Guide, a blog that describes the various periods in antique chair design. In my opinion it should be updated a bit more frequently. But it is worth wile a visit.
Update: The site seems having disappeared since.
