Chair hunting on the world wide web is a real adventure. Recently I opened a Twitter Account @ChairBlog, off course. Yes please do follow me!

I saw a tweet from @Arctictrend (lol the name gives me the shivers) that pointed to this post: Eco Sustainable featuring this sensuous aluminum modular Bench Liquirizia.

But it was the Dutch More or Less blog that catched it earlier…and pointed me to the Italian, Calolziocorte based, manufacturer: Altreforme, which is a nice site for a blogger because it is a non Flash site that almost looks like a flash site. Kudos for the designer of the site!

Liquirizia is a multi-unit chair bench [I would say].
Modular or endless depending on your greediness, as the most appetizing candy you would never give up savouring.
liquirizia will talk about you and the lines of your heart, following routes each time different, each time…

Sometimes just asking the question, Possible to Revive the Scheveningen High Back Beach Chair Design? gives an answer.

Via the COCOCOZY: Interior design blog I found these High Back Chairs Canasta by Patricia Urqoia for B&B Italia.

Chair Candy will be the name of the little series of photo’s I will showcase here. I took them at The Paris Centre Pompidou in February, 2009, when there was a Ron Arad overview Exhibition. This is one of my faves: The Stair Chair (at least that is what I coined it). Oficially named the London Papardelle.

Possible to revive the Scheveningen High Back Beach Chair Design?

Scheveningen High Back Beach Chair 01

In a post of my significant other blog I started a plea to revive the very snug cane High Back Beach Chair of Scheveningen. Up to the seventies there was almost no Dutch Beach without this type of chair. Northern Gemany Beaches still do frequently use another type of High Back Beach chair. It’s main features are protection against the wind and more privacy on the beach.

Just thought to enhance the reach of that plea by posting additional photo’s of the historic Dutch High Back Beach chair here.

Although I like this variation best as its curvy appearance is much more elegant.

Or am I wrong and is it already out there?

The Edward VII Love Chair

Edward-VII-Love-Chair

tywkiwdbi means “Things You Wouldn’t Know If We Didn’t Blog Incessantly….Excellent title! Here I found the first hint of this Edward VII Love Chair.

According to Filthy Gorgeous Things this Siège d’Amour was commissioned for when Edward VII visited his favorite Parish establishment in the 1890ies. You can read more about it in the UK’s The First Post [Ed: Post disappeared]. It appears the original is still in use in Paris, but the photo shows a replica in a museum in Prague…Definitely an item for Chair Whore!
