It appears I made an error in this post, the same error Phillips de Pury made: The designer is not Mario Monale, but Rotterdam based Mario Minale of the Minale Maeda studio.

What a unique idea! Also, the chair also appears to be very well assembled.
The original chair was designed by Gerrit Rietveld
they need to come out with instructions on how to create in miniature! i would totally spend a weekend doing that 🙂
