The price ranges from €90 to €275.

Outside cover: ultra-resistant technical fabric (100% polyester), zipper, completely removable
Filling: high density foam
Maintenance: washing machine 30Cº

From the designers:

“The basic concept of our first bean bags collection comes from the idea of inverting the dimensions of some of the objects that are part of our universe in relation with the spectators and reinterpret them. We want to surprise and provoke a reaction with our products.”

Woouf! is a young and multidisciplinary design studio born in Barcelona at the end of 2008. We design exclusive and avant-garde products with a clear target: make the difference. We innovate and bet for a combination of creativity, functionality and quality. This is the leitmotiv of our brand philosophy.

Ancient Chair Scale

Chair Scale at Zum Goldenen Hirschen (Apotheke) in Vienna
Recently I’ve done a lot of other things than posting here. I thank Julia profoundly for keeping the blog afloat in the meantime.

Last week I was in Vienna where I had discovered this Chair Scale in a pharmacy on a former trip. I took a photo and that was horribly unfocused. This time I was able to take a better one with the kind permission of the apothecary.

Apotheke Zum Goldene Hirschen
The pharmacy has a long history. I doesn’t seem to have a website, but it does have a (German)Wikipedia entry under it’s impressive name Zum Goldenen Hirschen (Apotheke)

Pally by Laura Väinölä

Pally is a stool by Laura Väinölä that comes in two sizes and can be enjoyed both by kids and grown-ups. By moving the colorful sticks which are covered in soft superlon material you can create countless patterns for the seat (watch the video below).

Dedegumo Chair Watch

Dedegumo is a watch shop founded in Kyoto, Japan, where each watch is handcrafted and no two pieces are exactly alike. Believing in the input of its watch artisans, Dedegumo trusts their creative judgment and the end result is sometimes a surprising design like this little chair watch above. How sweet and unexpected is it?

Nub by Patricia Urquiola for Andreu World America

This happened to me with the Harpah chair before, and now this happened to Jaime of Design Milk with the Nub Collection by Patricia Urquiola for Andreu World America – we discovered these gems via advertisements on the very websites we write for, respectively, oh irony!..

The Nub collection is the result of a sophisticated cabinet-making process, updated with great care in a contemporary manner. The project’s essential element is not so much the cylindrical bars, but rather the pleasant widening of the bars in the backrest at the height of the lumbar region, an alternating rhythm that grants recognition to the project, offering materiality and a three-dimensional quality to the chair.
